Form & Content 1

This is the logo for “The Point After” which airs every Monday during Browns season at 7 PM, WKYC offers up a unique perspective of Cleveland Browns football. I found this logo online, on WKYC’s website. This is a very modern logo, representing the love that Cleveland has for their football team. I found this logo very interesting because it does have a modern look to it and because it encompasses 3 different things into 1 shape: the “o” in the name. It represents the letter O, it represents a football, and it represents the number 6 (which is how many points are scored by a touchdown before “The Point After” is attempted to tack on that 7th point). I think this was genius on how they incorporated all 3 into 1 simple form. What makes this visually interesting are the color, slick modern look, incorporation of 3 things into 1 shape, simplicity of the logo, and instant recognition of what the logo represents. The logo is balanced and well proportioned right in the center of the screen with a slight tilt to it to add some visual flair. The emphasis is certainly on the O /6/football with it being centered pretty well, being larger in scale than any other letter and having the strong highlight placed on it. The type relates to the image by being the image itself, it works together as a whole, especially with the text surrounding the O /6/football that’s placed in the center of the logo. All in all this logo is very well done and its gets it’s point across with great simplicity and organization.
